The Fight for Brega

Today pro-Qadhafi Libyan forces have been on the offensive against the rebels, with major fighting occurring in the town/oil port of Brega, near the dividing line between the largely liberated east and the still-contested west of the country. At least one Libyan Air Force jet is said to have bombed Brega, and despite fighting the revolutionaries claim to still be in control.

Qadhafi has made another long speech on television, again full of denial and conspiracy theories.

Sadly, there are few signs of this ending soon.
